BBC chat room, as well as a variety of websites, seems to be suggesting that the monument is haunted. Over many years we have heard repeated rumours that the lighthouse is still being watched over by the ghost of a lighthouse keeper. A team of ghost hunters called ‘pathfinders’ are about to undertake the investigation, so if you have news of ‘our ghost’ or can help in anyway, please e-mail us or call into reception, we’d love to hear from you. 99% Award to Talacre Beach by the British Graded Holiday Parks SchemeTalacre Beach has achieved 99% mark from the British Grading Scheme, our highest score.

Talacre Beach has been nationally recognised at Hoseasons Holidays gala dinner as they carried off the ‘Best in Britain’ award for the best holiday park in the UK.
Mr Peter Angelides the Retail and Operations Director for the Talacre Beach Group, who operate 5 five star Wales Tourist Board graded parks in North Wales, was delighted to receive the Best in Britain, and a second award, for the best Lively and Leisurely park in Wales at the event. "The Management team and all the staff involved in providing amazing customer care and service to all its customers. As a company, we have been dedicated to attention to detail, quality and customer relationship management, and as these awards prove, our efforts have been rewarded handsomely.”

Some of you who followed last years` X Factor will remember the winner Shayne Ward. We saw him first at Talacre Beach before he hit the big time, the singing sensation appeared here at Talacre Beach as part of a vocal trio Destiny. Shayne Ward has not only won the last series of X Factor he also managed to get his first release "That`s my Goal" straight to the Christmas number 1, 2005 where it stayed for two weeks. Shayne appeared during April of last year as part of the trio Destiny and were a hugh hit with everyone. We are now determined to find another star in the making among this season`s acts. Award for top quality for Talacre BeachThe beaches in Talacre and Gronant have been awarded the European Standard Green Coast Award. It underwent inspections over 20 weeks and far exceeded standards laid down for the quality of water and sands. It was a great tribute to the work of Flintshire County Council, BHP Billiton and The Talacre Beach Group who are responsible for the quality of the beaches and the sand dunes in this lovely area which plays a major part in the local economy and tourism.
